Ciao ragazzi,
I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. I started my second term of MBA studies this week with a fascinating intensive course titled Food Culture and Sustainable Tourism. It provoked a lot of thoughts and I’ll be sharing more on that later on. This week I wanted to share with you some local findings and add a list of inspirational content to consume around the web.

Giovanni Boldini’s exhibition
Last week we visited Giovanni Boldini’s exhibition in Palazzo Albergati, in Bologna. The exhibition is set to celebrate the artist work ninety years from his death. The beautiful old palazzo poses almost 100 works of Boldini’s art. Boldini was an Italian artist born in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna who spent most of his artist career in Paris. Intrigued by the feminine charm and inspired by the Belle Èpoque era in Paris, Boldini’s art captures noble female beauty, uniqueness and mystery in his beautiful paintings. An interesting artist and a beautiful uplifting exhibition to visit if you’re in town. The exhibition runs until the 13th of March. As an added bonus, right across the street of the palazzo there’s a great coffee bar and bistro to grab a glass of wine or cup of coffee.
Torre dei Beati White Wine from Abruzzo
Before moving to Bologna, I wasn’t too familiar with Italian white wines. Almost always opting for Italian reds or sparkling wines, I’ve decided to start trying and learning more of white wines the land (and islands) have to offer. Torre dei Beati’s Abruzzo doc Pecorino was a great place to start my journey. Made with 100% pecorino grape in the region of Abruzzo, this wine is elegant and refreshing to enjoy with food. It’s described to have a fine and elegant nose of citrus and white flowers with a tasting notes of zesty acidity and minerality, giving a long, mouthwatering persistence. It has won several wine awards since year 2011.On Saturday night we cooked fried octopus along with different vegetable dishes, and the wine went nicely with seafood. In addition to seafood, it’s also recommended to pair with risotto, gnocchi with a cheese sauce or pecorino cheese. An alternative to Finnish readers shopping at Alko, could be the same area’s Ausonia Machaon Abruzzo Pecorino. It’s dry, acidic, flowery and minerally. However it is described to be generous and toasty. Try it and let me know, how you liked it!
